Thank you. It’s been maddening seeing this story so misreported and the false narrative spread all over the world.

Thank you for this piece. The following analysis by Richard Sanders explains step-by-step too how the entirety of Western media engaged in a campaign of disinformation regarding the incident with the Maccabi hooligans in Amsterdam. He calls the whole thing “a case of textbook disinformation”.

Very interesting, and not surprising given what we know now. Worth the watch, thanks for sharing!

You omit the well-documented fact that planning for the attacks on Jews took place on Telegram channels way before any actions of Israeli fans. This pre-planning explains the small armies of precisely deployed motorscooters.. But perhaps that is your intention to promote hatred of Jews by falsely ascribing victim status to the perpetrators. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14063329/Amsterdam-rioters-planned-Jew-hunt-Telegram-attacked-Israeli-football-fans.html

My intention is to ascribe moral bankruptcy to the cabinet and describe how they have failed all Dutch citizens, no matter what religion they are.

1. You're setting up a false dilemma, based on a premise that erroneously limits what options are available. You can be against horrible racist Maccabi hooligans who did bad and criminal things in real life and on camera, while also being against people attacking the hooligans (or anyone else, or wrote about it on Telegram), and also being critical of the media who by and large offered serious misinformation around what happened.

2. The Daily Mail is a right-wing tabloid and not a reliable source of information.

3. Your accusatory tone is silly and based on assumptions not facts.

4. Someone who would have even just passing familiarity with Dutch soccer hooliganism knows that "joden jacht" (or "jew hunt") is a term that applies first and foremost to Ajax fans (who, as Kate explained, are not Jewish for the most part, but have adopted this as a nickname) and is used by fans of rival teams and has been for decades. While I find this language foul regardless, this is a key nuance to take into account.
